Make a Difference
The Nursing Educator works closely with the centralized Education Specialist, the Clinical Nurse Specialist and Department’s Nursing Manager/Director to assist with new hire orientation and to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate the educational needs of nursing staff at the Hospice unit level to enable staff to provide quality care for the unique patient population for Hospice.
Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.
Four (4) year / Bachelor Degree Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) required.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) required.
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in nursing and at least one (1) one year of experience in Hospice is required.
Must obtain Hospice and Palliative Nurse Certification within 2 years of entering into this role (CHPN).
Current IN Driver's License and valid vehicle insurance required.
